One-Pot Cheeseburger Pasta
This stovetop dish mimics classic burger flavors in a streamlined, one-pot format. It relies on a simple technique of simmering pasta directly in a savory tomato and beef broth base.
Ingrédients
- 1 yellow onion
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 8oz. tomato sauce
- 2 cup beef broth
- 1/2 lb. pasta shells
- 4 oz. cheddar cheese · shredded
- 2 tbsp hot dog relish
- 2 green onions · sliced
Préparation
- 1
Finely dice the onion. Add the onion, olive oil, and ground beef to a large deep skillet and sauté over medium heat until the beef is fully browned and the onion is soft and translucent. Drain off any excess fat if needed.
- 2
Add the flour to the skillet and continue to stir and cook for one minute more, ensuring it coats the bottom of the pan without burning.
- 3
Add the tomato sauce and beef broth to the skillet and stir to dissolve the flour from the bottom of the skillet.
- 4
Add the uncooked pasta to the skillet and stir to combine.
- 5
Place a lid on the skillet, turn the heat up to medium-high, and bring the liquid to a boil. Give it a quick stir to loosen the pasta from the bottom, replace the lid, and reduce the heat to low. Simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 10 minutes until the pasta is tender and the sauce has thickened.

Remove from heat. Add the shredded cheddar and stir until melted into the sauce. Stir in the hot dog relish and garnish with sliced green onions before serving.
