
Italian-Style English Muffin Pizza Burgers
A staple of quick family meals, these open-faced burgers pair seasoned ground meat with marinara and melted mozzarella on toasted English muffins. They are equally suited for immediate consumption or batch-freezing for later.

- 1 lb. ground turkey, chicken, or Italian sausage
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 1/2 cup marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped pepperoncini · optional
- 6-8 English muffin halves
- 1/2 cup salted butter · melted
- 1 clove garlic · grated
- 1 1/2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup finely grated Parmesan

Heat the oil in a large skillet. Brown the meat, then stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, and salt. Pour in the marinara sauce, stir to combine, remove from heat, and mix in the 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella.

Combine the melted butter and grated garlic. Place the English muffin halves face-up on a sheet pan and brush the tops with the garlic butter mixture.

Spoon the meat mixture onto each English muffin half. Top with a layer of shredded mozzarella and a sprinkle of grated Parmesan.

Bake at 180°C for 5-7 minutes, then broil briefly until the cheese is melted and browned. Alternatively, cook in an air fryer at 180°C for 4-5 minutes until golden and slightly crisped.

To freeze, place the assembled burgers on a parchment-lined tray until solid, then transfer to a freezer-safe container. Reheat from frozen in an air fryer at 180°C for 6-8 minutes.
