
Korean Bulgogi Beef Stir Fry
Hailing from Korea, this classic beef dish features a signature balance of sweet and salty flavors. Grated apple and onion are the traditional elements that infuse the meat with tenderizing enzymes and depth.
Ingrédients
- 400 g beef · thinly sliced
- 1 scallion stem
- 1/2 onion
- 1/2 medium carrot
- 1 tbsp cooking oil
- 1/2 tbsp sesame seeds
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 1/2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 1/2 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp onion · grated
- 2 garlic · cloves
- 3 tbsp red apple · grated
- 1/2 tsp ginger · minced
- Black pepper

Blot the beef dry with a paper towel and place it into a bowl.

Combine the marinade ingredients in a small bowl, then pour over the beef. Stir to coat, cover, and marinate for at least 1 hour or overnight.

Heat the oil in a wok or large frying pan over high heat.

Add the onion and the white part of the scallion. Sauté for 1 minute.

Add the beef with its marinade and the carrots. Stir-fry constantly for 3 to 5 minutes until the beef is just cooked through.

Remove from the heat and toss with sesame seeds. Serve immediately garnished with the reserved green parts of the scallion.
